Select the correct fixture
Match the teams, competition, date and start time. Do not rely on a familiar abbreviation alone.

Read construction limits
Use the team size, role, credit and per-side limits shown in the live RS9 interface.

List expected roles
Separate wicketkeeping, batting, all-round and bowling roles using current match information.

Choose eligible players
Select within the displayed constraints and leave room to revise when final information arrives.

Assign Captain roles
Choose Captain and Vice-Captain only after checking the current multiplier rule.

Run the final review
Check warnings, line-ups, deadline, contest terms and your limits before confirming.

- Choosing only famous players
- Ignoring role and batting or bowling opportunity
- Using an unconfirmed line-up as final
- Forgetting to revisit C and VC after edits
